I spent a lot less time at the store this week. Woot, woot. Our budget is much happier with me. So is my schedule. Now that most of our staples have been replenished, our cupboards are a whole lot less bare and we can eat what we already have in the house.
This week, I shopped at one local chain and Walmart. I have lasted a whole week and a half without shopping at the local chain with quality and accurate pricing problems. So far, the budget does not seem to mind. I also did some research and discovered that our community is likely to get an Aldi sometime in 2017. I did a happy dance when I found this out, which caused my family to roll their eyes and accuse me of being ridiculous. It matters not to me, as I look forward to saving a lot of money in the grocery store sometime soon.

This leaves us with $219.08 left in the budget for the rest of the month. That is approximately $70.00 per week. It is not ideal, but definitely do-able. Especially if we are creative.
