November will be here soon, and along with it, Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday filled with family, friends, and too much food.
Sometimes for our family, in the hustle and bustle of preparing menus, travel arrangements, and pumpkin pies, we lose sight of Thanksgiving’s purpose. We forget to give thanks. We do not really think about the gratitude and appreciation we should feel for the many blessings and gifts in our lives.
This year, we are going to try and do things differently. For the month of November, our family will be spending a few minutes each day thinking about the things for which we are most thankful. As we progress through the month, I plan to post brief updates on the blog about our conversations of gratitude.
Last week, I came across this free printable gratitude journal for kids, the Give Thanks Journal. It is what we will be using to guide us through the entire month of November.
I look forward to sharing with all of you our thoughts on giving thanks. I also hope that you will join us as the month progresses, letting us know which blessings for which you are most grateful.
